Trains to and from Gran Canaria Airport (LPA)
As of this revision, the island does not have a train station. Taxis are the most convenient mode of transportation to get downtown, costing around €35 and taking around 20 minutes to get there (depending on traffic). Time on the bus between Gran Canaria Airport and Port of Las Palmas averages around 23 minutes. It's about 25 kilometers in length.
Transportation from Gran Canaria Airport to the Port of Las Palmas is provided by Global Las Palmas and leaves Aeropuerto LP Expres and ends at Santa Catalina Bus Station. Bus No. 378 operates weekly; however, weekend and holiday schedules vary, so plan ahead.
The proposed railway on Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, is called Tren de Gran Canaria (TGC, the Train of Gran Canaria). In its current form, it would begin in Las Palmas, the island's capital, and continue east along the coast to Maspalomas, where it would end after serving Gran Canaria Airport.
