Trains to and from Manises Airport (VLC)

When you leave the VLC Arrivals area, turn left to find the subway. If you wait a little while, you'll see an elevator and escalator leading down to the first floor, where the subway station's entrance and ticket machines are located.

Several underground lines connect the city's downtown and port, making it easy to travel to the heart of Valencia from these locations. The Regional Terminal's Metro Station can be reached from the terminal's main floor. All metro stations have automated ticket vending machines where you can purchase your tickets.

Metro Valencia

Taking the subway is the best choice considering the time and money involved. It's ideal if your hotel is located on the outskirts of town. It will take you between 5 and 10 minutes to walk from the airport exit to the subway stop.

It takes about 20 minutes to reach Valencia's central train station (Xàtiva). A short walk will take you to Plaza del Ayuntamiento from the train station. Colón station is another major hub, just a few stops from Xàtiva.

Metro Lines 3 and 5

When approaching the Valencia city center, the routes of the two lines are nearly identical, and they stop at many of the same locations. Ngel Guimerà, Xàtiva, Colón, and Alameda are some of the most important stations in the downtown area. The metro stop Xàtiva is right before the main train station (Estación del Norte).

Line 3 will pass through the heart of Valencia and head north, connecting to other cities. As a result, it's a fantastic choice if you're staying somewhere to the northeast of Valencia's historic core. 56 minutes factored into the total time for the trip.

If your hotel is located near the water, Line 5 is a convenient option because it terminates just steps from the beach.

About Metro Line 3

The line has 26 stops and travels between the airport, the city of Valencia, and several outlying communities to the north of the city.

About Metro Line 5

There are 17 stations served by the metro system. After passing through Valencia's downtown, the route drops straight to the city's coastal neighborhoods from the airport.

Tickets

Metrovalencia tickets can be purchased at the stations before boarding the trains. Get your ticket from a station worker or a machine at the station. Know that not all machines accept both credit cards and cash.

Tickets for a ride in one direction from the airport cost €4.80 plus €1.00 for the card. You can add value to a plastic or cardboard card without paying the additional €1.00. Remember that the same card can hold up to four separate tickets, so you can save money by not purchasing two cards if you're taking a trip with a group.

Buying a 10-ride transit pass at the airport is not a good idea. Given that the airport is in Zone C, you must purchase a €20.00 transport card that includes Zones A, B, and C.

During your visit, you will spend most of your time in the heart of things (Zone A). For only €8, you can get a 10-ride Zone A ticket. So, if you want to buy a 10-ride pass, you should do so while you're already in the city's heart. If you want to leave a metro station after you've arrived, you'll need to use the correct ticket.

The Valencia Tourist Card (VTC) is another excellent choice. The validity period of this discount card can be customized. Free rides on all bus, metro, and tram lines, free admission to museums and historic sites, and selected discounts at participating retail outlets and dining establishments are just some of the perks of this card.
